A very well pedigreed Carian stater

CARIA. Uncertain. Circa 460-440 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 11.83 g, 6 h), Aeginetic standard. Nude male figure, with wings on his shoulders and his heels, in kneeling-running position to left, raising his right arm and lowering his left; to upper left, monogram. Rev. I-𐊡-𐊰𐋀 Lion walking left, head turned back to right; above, monogram; all within square incuse. HN online 1576.2 (this coin). Troxell, Winged Carians, p. 263, 41. Very rare. A beautiful coin of lovely late Archaic style. The obverse weakly struck, otherwise, good very fine.
